Don't back down! You are doing them a favor!
The notecard on my desk when I was cold calling
When I believed it?
I did fairly well. I was driven. Not only was I going to make money, I was going to keep that money from going to those crooks out of Boca Raton.
Being able to have confidence in what I was doing. Knowing I wasn't selling CRAP made all the difference to me.
Did I break sales records and retire early to a white sand beach? Sadly, no.
I barely made enough for anyone to notice. But it taught me a lot about myself and what sales had to be about for me to be successful.
It wasn't and isn't about the money for me. There has to be more. I have to be providing valuer in some way. I have to be improving that other person's life somehow.
"Sounds like a bunch of virtue signaling"
Yeah, I guess it is. But in this day and age of an overwhelming amount of crap...
I have to believe in what I am doing. I can't do it any other way.
